Welcome to Appeality Ltd. ("we", "our", "us"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Appeality website, mobile application, and all related services ("Services").
By using Appeality, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our Services.
2. About Us
Appeality provides administrative support for preparing and submitting representations against Penalty Charge Notices ("PCNs") issued by UK local authorities.
Appeality is not a law firm and does not provide regulated legal advice. Our service is limited to drafting, preparing, and submitting administrative representations based on publicly available information and user-supplied materials.
3. Eligibility
To use Appeality, you must:
- Be at least 16 years old
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Have the legal right to act on behalf of the vehicle owner or keeper
- Agree to these Terms
4. Scope of Service
Appeality provides the following Services:
- OCR extraction of PCN details
- Initial automated assessment
- Preparation of a written appeal representation
- Submission of the representation to the issuing authority
- Providing users with updates and notifications
- Optional subscription-based PCN management
What We Do Not Provide
- Legal advice
- Representation in court or at the tribunal
- Guarantee of appeal outcomes
- Verification of the accuracy of council evidence
- Responsibility for late submissions caused by user delays
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete PCN information
- Verify all data extracted by OCR
- Upload legible and clear documents
- Submit truthful statements
- Respond promptly to any requests for further information
- Keep your login details secure
You acknowledge that inaccuracies may affect the success of your appeal.
6. Pricing & Payment Terms
A. Entry Fee + Success Fee
- Entry fee of £5.99
- Non-refundable, regardless of outcome
- A £9.99 success fee is automatically charged after 90 days if an image is not uploaded explaining that the PCN is still active
- "Success" means a written or email cancellation or a Notice of Acceptance from the issuing authority
- No additional fee if the appeal is unsuccessful
B. Fixed Fee
- £9.99 per appeal
- Paid upfront
- Non-refundable, regardless of outcome
- No additional fee if the appeal is successful
C. Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely by third-party providers, including Stripe, PayPal, and Nuvei. We do not store payment card details.
7. Submission Deadlines
It is your responsibility to upload your PCN with sufficient time for preparation and submission before statutory deadlines.
Appeality is not liable for:
- PCNs submitted after the deadline
- Cases where the discount period expires before user action
- Late submissions caused by user delays or technical issues outside our control
8. Accuracy of Representations
We prepare appeals based on:
- User-provided information
- Uploaded documents
- Publicly available council regulations
- Our internal templates
We do not guarantee:
- Accuracy of council data
- Accuracy of user-submitted information
- Appeal success
- Acceptance of our representations by councils
9. User Content
By uploading documents or information, you confirm that:
- You have the right to share the material
- It does not infringe any third-party rights
- It is accurate and lawful
You grant Appeality a licence to process, store, and use the content solely for the purpose of delivering the Service.
10. Data Protection & Privacy
Our processing of your personal data, including your postal address, PCN details, and supporting evidence, is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

11. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, text, code, and software associated with Appeality are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
You must not:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute the Service
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the platform
- Use our content for competing services
12. Service Availability
We aim to provide uninterrupted access, but do not guarantee:
- Continuous availability
- Error-free operation
- Freedom from delays, bugs, or outages
We may suspend service for maintenance, updates, or legal compliance.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Appeality is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or financial losses, including loss of income, penalties, or missed deadlines caused by user delays
- Appeality does not guarantee PCN cancellation
- Appeality is not responsible for incorrect, altered, or incomplete information submitted by users
- Our total liability is capped at the amount paid by the user for the relevant appeal
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law.
14. Cancellation & Refunds
A. Entry Fee + Success Fee
The entry fee is non-refundable once work has begun. A refund can be issued if proof is provided of an active PCN with the same PCN number.
B. Fixed Fee
The fixed fee is non-refundable once work has begun.

15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if:
- You breach these Terms
- Fraudulent activity is detected
- False or misleading information is submitted
- Abuse, harassment, or inappropriate conduct occurs
You may delete your account at any time.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
17. Amendments
We may update these Terms periodically. Changes take effect once published on our website or app.
